We are asking you today to support our program and to participate in the Kingwood Legacy Classic. This memorial charity is run by alumni basketball players and raises college scholarship money for needy Kingwood Basketball graduates.

These scholarships are given in the name of a former varsity players who were tragically taken from us. Rodney Odom, who brought Kingwood to prominence in the early 80s under Jack Aldrige and Chad Maclies, a driving force behind the first team to win a district title under Coach Royce Huseman, both died suddenly of natural causes. Rodney and Chad epitomized all of the character qualities we aspire for our young athletes.

The Scholarships will not only help a former Kingwood basketball player to find his dreams, but also honor and remember the special life of Rodney and Chad.
